It's Everything !
It's Everything !
Perk began Light Force in 1984. Sons Chaney (right) & Curry have been playin' around with this stuff since they were little kids. Lighting & Grip is hard work - and we're not afraid of it. We pride ourselves on stellar client relations, teamwork with the other departments, and wrapping on time & on budget. Let us help make your shoot a successful one.
We work mostly off our 20' Grip Truck w/liftgate, but do have a cargo van for small jobs. Our largest tungsten fixture is a 20k Silver Bullet on down to a 200w Midget. Largest HMI is a 4k down to 400w Arri Pocket Pars. And we have an assortment of LEDs including Gemini's 2x1 & 1x1, LiteMat +4, Celeb, Nila Boxers, Quasars, NanLights, Aputure MC4 kit & Practicals.
Camera Support includes our pneumatic Vector Dolly, featuring soft rubber wheels to often eliminate the need for track, a speed limiter for booms up & down, 6" & 12" risers, a seat & side boards, skate wheels & track. 4' & 3' Camera Sliders can mount on the Dolly. And we have a telescoping Benro MoveUp 20 Jib Arm with tripod & wheels, or is mountable on the Dolly.
On larger shoots where plug 'n play won't get the job done we employ our flatbed mounted 800 amp Movie Set Generator with 1200 & 400 amp Distro Boxes, lunch boxes, and 350' of camlok feeder cable. The Generator Truck has a 57 gal fuel tank so there's no need to leave set before your day's shoot is complete.
The 24/7 Gear Exchange located at the front entrance of the Light Force shop allows you the opportunity to pick up & return your rental gear at your convenience. Simply retrieve the key for the door from the storage device upon receiving the day's code, re-lock the door, return the key to the device, and you're on your way.
The Light Force shop is conveniently located in Pewaukee just 20+ minutes west of Milwaukee and about an hour east of Madison. Here we store our Grip Truck, Generator Truck, Cargo Van, and supplemental lighting gear, as well as perform our routine equipment upkeep. As we are often busy on shoots an appointment is needed to meet here.
With all the different type of fixtures in today's video world - Tungsten, HMI, LED - it gets complicated fast. If you know your lighting, grip, camera support & power needs, just drop us an email and we'll be happy to get an estimate out to you in a timely fashion.
Yes, we'd be happy to schedule a Scout day with your DoP & Director. Scouting is the optimal way to determine lighting, grip & power needs for your shoot, as well as choosing camera positions for each particular setup, while saving time & money on shoot day with so many predetermined decisions.
Absolutely ! Chaney & Curry will gaff and/or grip your job, and additional freelance grips who fit the Light Force mold are selectively chosen to form our camp.
For sure ! We've been in business for a long time and can recommend people in the various depts of audio, art, hair & makeup, PA - whoever you need we'll help you locate.
You bet ! We'd be happy to put you in touch with a reliable rental house and/or industry professionals to fulfill your needs outside of lighting.
